Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday (May 30) called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
Chief Minister Dr Sarma had earlier left for the national capital today and is expected to return on June 2.
Besides Prime Minister Modi, Dr Sarma is also expected to call on a number of other union ministers and discuss matters relating to ongoing and proposed developmental projects in the State.
This is the first time Dr Sarma met PM Modi after taking oath as Chief Minister Of Assam for the second time on May 12 which the Prime Minister had attended along with a galaxy of other politicians, industrialists and foreign envoys.
