Apple has shared a new WWDC26 developer session that gives a detailed look at its latest AI tools for app makers, including new Xcode features, Apple Intelligence APIs, and a full app created from just a few prompts.
The Apple Developer YouTube channel posted the 90-minute session, titled “Inside Apple Intelligence and Xcode: Special Presentation,” after recording it live at the Steve Jobs Theater during WWDC26. The session focuses on how developers can use Apple’s new AI tools to build smarter apps with less manual coding.
One of the main highlights is a 20-minute demo where Apple builds a WWDC badge tracker app from a single prompt. The app later gains 3D animations, holographic effects, and Visual Intelligence support through follow-up commands inside Xcode 27.
The demo shows how Xcode 27 can ask follow-up questions, plan an app before coding starts, and help developers shape a project with clearer steps. This gives developers more control while still speeding up early app development.
Apple also explains how apps can work with the new Siri AI, the Apple Foundation Models framework, Core AI, MLX, and even third-party AI models.
The session ends with a local demo of the 1-trillion-parameter Kimi 2.6 model running across four Mac Studios through RDMA-over-Thunderbolt in macOS Tahoe 26.2.
Developers should watch the full session, as it clearly shows where Apple wants AI-powered app development to go next.
