AI Turns Black Widow Drones Into Battlefield Threat Sensors for US Army – The Defense Post

The US Army is bringing in an AI-powered drone intelligence system to detect explosive threats and generate battlefield maps from aerial imagery at the tactical edge.
Safe Pro Group said it has received an order for a turnkey Threat Analysis Kit that integrates its Navigation Observation & Detection Engine (NODE) edge computing platform with Red Cat’s Black Widow drones.
With NODE, the kit uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect landmines, unexploded ordnance, cluster munitions, and other threats from drone imagery.
