The new movies coming out this week might just be the strongest lineup of the summer so far, and there is truly something for everyone.
Leading the charge is Toy Story 5, which reunites us with Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of Bonnie’s toy chest when a sleek, always-listening tablet named Lilypad threatens to make them all obsolete. And if you’re in the mood for something darker, The Death of Robin Hood flips the beloved legend on its head — Hugh Jackman plays an outlaw drenched in blood and regret, with Jodie Comer as the mysterious woman who may be his last shot at redemption.
Beyond those two headliners, the week is packed. There’s a Sundance-buzzed supernatural horror film (Leviticus, 94% on Rotten Tomatoes), a heartfelt coming-of-age romance (Girls Like Girls), a charming Netflix rom-com (Voicemails for Isabelle), a moving father-son drama (Color Book), a Gregg Allman documentary, a social-media satire (Maddie’s Secret), a time-slip thriller (Rose of Nevada), and more.
We have compiled the complete list below of all the new movies releasing in theaters and on streaming this week.
