Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday, June 28, joined hundreds of young volunteers, local residents and citizens at Chilla Village for the Yamuna Ghat cleanliness drive.
The BJP government in the national capital remains committed to its rejuvenation through scientific intervention, sustained effort as well as Jan Bhagidari.

Gupta expressed gratitude to every volunteer who participated in the cleanliness drive and further appealed to every Delhi family to dedicate some time to the Yamuna and become an active partner in this people’s movement.

In a post on X, the Delhi Chief Minister called Yamuna as “Delhi’s memory, culture, and lifeline.”

“To make it clean and pristine, the Delhi government is continuously working at a scientific, sustainable, and comprehensive level. Clean ghats are a living testament to that resolve. Heartfelt thanks to every volunteer associated with this service campaign. I urge every family in Delhi to set aside a little time for the Yamuna on any day. Hold your children’s hands and join the ongoing cleanliness drives at any ghat,” she wrote.
She added, “Future generations will find the Yamuna just as we leave it for them today. This is our responsibility, this is our legacy.”

A detailed inquiry report is being prepared regarding a private hospital in North Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh following an inquiry ordered by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta over complaints of alleged irregularities and negligence affecting patients.
