SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Malabar Gold & Diamonds has expanded its footprint in the United States with the opening of its Santa Clara showroom, the company’s eighth location in the U.S. and 11th across North America, as it continues an ambitious expansion strategy throughout the region.
The new showroom is the company’s second in California, following the success of its flagship location in Los Angeles, and is expected to serve the growing Indian and South Asian communities in Silicon Valley and the surrounding Bay Area.
Speaking on the expansion, Abdul Salam K.P., vice chairman of Malabar Group, said the latest showroom represents a significant milestone in the company’s North American journey.
“We have come a long way since opening our first U.S. showroom in Chicago in 2018, establishing ourselves as a leading champion of the ‘Make in India; Market to the World’ vision in the western hemisphere,” Salam said. “While our growth has been ambitious, it has always been rooted in responsibility. Customers can be confident that every piece is crafted with care for people, the environment and the integrity of the global supply chain.”
He said the company remains committed to strengthening its environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives across all markets to ensure its continued expansion creates measurable benefits for customers, employees and local communities.
Shamlal Ahamed, managing director of international operations, said Santa Clara was selected because of its strong market potential and the growing Indian diaspora in Northern California.
“Our jewellery and services have resonated deeply with customers in California, and as the home of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara presents tremendous opportunities for growth,” Ahamed said.
The company plans to continue its rapid North American expansion, with its ninth U.S. showroom scheduled to open in Seattle in the coming weeks. Additional locations are planned in San Francisco, Tampa, Virginia, Detroit, Houston, Charlotte, Phoenix, New York and San Diego. In Canada, new showrooms are expected in Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal.

Another flagship initiative, the “Grandma Home” project, provides housing and care for needy and destitute women. Company officials said these programs reflect Malabar Group’s long-term vision of ensuring its global business success also benefits the communities where it operates.
