Fans packed Seattle Stadium and surrounding watch parties as Bosnia and Herzegovina secured a win in today's FIFA World Cup match in Seattle.
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Qatar met on Wednesday at Seattle Stadium in the final round of Group B play, with both teams still chasing a place in the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Kickoff was at 12 p.m.
Bosnia and Herzegovina was favored in the match, despite being ranked #65 in the Coca-Cola FIFA World Rankings, as opposed to Qatar checking in at #56.
The team ultimately validated this favoritism, scoring 3 goals. In front of thousands of fans, Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by veteran striker Edin Dzeko, clinched the victory, 3 to 1 over Qatar.

This win means that Bosnia-Herzegovina is the opponent for Team USA in the Round of 32 on July 1.
The winner of that match will then bring it all back to Seattle on July 6 in the Round of 16.
This is significant because, while Bosnia is a tough team, had they tied Qatar, a much tougher team like Senegal or Belgium could have been the opponent, thus blocking Team USA's path here.
For perspective, Team USA is ranked #13 in the world right now, Bosnia-Herzegovina is #65 (but will move up after this win), while Belgium is #10, and Senegal #19 – meaning a major difference in difficulty for Team USA because of Bosnia-Herzegovina's win.
