Gregory M. Stromgren, 72, of Portland NY passed away after a short illness on June 1, 2026. He was born on Sept.11, 1953 in Jamestown NY to Iven and Eva (Shumsky) Stromgren.
Greg will be remembered for his love of music, outdoor cooking, fishing and working at his Church. Greg was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose of Westfield NY and St. John the Baptist Church, Dunkirk NY.
He is survived by his sister, Diane (Stromgren) Accurso of Florida, and close loving companion, Melanie Marcinko. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Shumsky Stromgren, father, Iven Stromgren Sr., and brothers, Mitchell and Iven Stromgren Jr.
A celebration of life will be held on June 25th at 5:30 at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 W.4th St. Dunkirk, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Portland Food Pantry.
