The US has launched retaliatory strikes against Iran after Donald Trump accused them of shooting down a US military helicopter that was patrolling the Strait of Hormuz.
The two pilots on that helicopter were rescued. 
US Central Command says the new strikes are a proportional response to unjustified aggression. 
ABC NewsRadio's Sarah Morice spoke with Aaron David Miller, Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, which is a global non-partisan think tank.
