Mary Ann Samuelson Unlu
It is with great sadness we announce the death of our sister Mary Ann. After a brief battle with cancer, she passed away on June 2, 2026 in Deland, Florida. She passed away at home surrounded by family. Mary Ann Samuelson Unlu was born in Dunkirk Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, NY on October 10, 1962.
After graduation from Dunkirk High School in 1980, Mary Ann lived and worked in Toronto, Canada and Queens, New York. She eventually moved to Florida to be near family where she worked in the Elder Care business and was a blessing to those families she assisted in end-of-life care.
Mary Ann loved spending time in nature, gardening, and caring for her pets.
Predeceased by her parents: Charles Russell & Mary Waite Samuelson, and her brother Gary “Gar” Samuelson. Survived by her brothers and sister: Bernard Haagensen, Rolf Haagensen, Stewart Samuelson, and Amelia “Mimi” Duke, as well as her nieces and nephews: Allison Haagensen, Ailea Samuelson, Robert Haagensen, Kevin Duke, Jr., and Connor Duke.
