A warm and humid air mass over the Show-Me State will bring the first Heat Advisory to the region on Tuesday. Temperatures will climb into the 90s in both metros on Tuesday and Wednesday.
There’s a chance of storms in the morning in both St. Louis and Kansas City, but any wet weather will taper off by late morning. Sunshine will prevail for the afternoon as temperatures climb.
The combination of high heat and humidity will contribute to "feels like" temperatures in the 100s. Prolonged exposure to high heat and humidity could lead to heat-related illnesses.
This is the first time this year that we will feel like the triple digits.

After morning storm chances, conditions will dry out and sunshine will return on Tuesday. By Wednesday, a cold front will approach and bring a return to thunderstorms for the afternoon and evening.
A low-level severe threat, 1 and 2 out of 5, will be in place in the region. Isolated storms could produce damaging winds and hail. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out as well.
Heavy rain could also accompany storms, which could lead to isolated flooding.
The front slows down upon arrival and brings another chance of severe weather on Thursday.
