Bahrain has condemned Iran’s launch of seven ballistic missiles towards its territory and Kuwait early on Saturday, calling it a flagrant violation of sovereignty and a threat to Gulf security.
In a Foreign Ministry statement, Bahrain said the missiles were successfully intercepted and praised the vigilance of its armed forces and those of Kuwait.
Bahrain accused Iran of breaching UN Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), which condemned Iranian attacks and any efforts to close the Strait of Hormuz or disrupt international navigation.
The kingdom also called on Iran to immediately cease what it described as unjustified attacks, fully open the Strait of Hormuz without restrictions, disclose naval mine locations, and allow more than 20,000 stranded sailors to leave the region safely.
Bahrain added that its patience “does not imply weakness” and that defending its sovereignty was a red line, pledging to take all legitimate measures to protect its security.

A seven-month-old Palestinian infant was shot and killed by Israeli forces who opened fire on the family’s car near Hebron in the occupied West Bank, also wounding the child’s parents.
A photo circulating on social media shows the baby’s untouched bottle sitting inside a car riddled with bullets.
Details on the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it targeted and stopped one of four oil tankers that had been attempting to leave the Strait of Hormuz after receiving an IRGC warning at 1:30 am on Saturday.
In a statement, the IRGC said the other three vessels turned back after the warning.
The Guards also said US drones struck a communications tower on Qeshm Island and another tower in Sirik at around 2:30 am using two projectiles. The IRGC said its aerospace forces responded by launching ballistic missiles at the US Ali Al Salem air base in Kuwait and facilities belonging to the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
US Central Command said US forces intercepted multiple Iranian ballistic missiles and drones launched toward the Strait of Hormuz and that there were currently no reports of injuries to US personnel. CENTCOM also denied IRGC claims that the Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain had been damaged.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that talks with Iran are going “very well” and that Tehran has agreed to allow American personnel, in coordination with Iranian authorities, to enter Iran and recover buried nuclear material once the war ends.”It’s very, very hard to get it … but nevertheless, I want to get at it,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
Despite recent strikes in the region, Trump said the US-Iran ceasefire that took effect in early April remains in place, suggesting that an interim deal could be reached “over the weekend” as talks advance.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday said Russia wants the conflict in Middle East to end as soon as possible, dismissing suggestions that Moscow benefits from rising energy prices triggered by tensions involving Iran and disruptions to key global shipping routes.
Speaking to reporters at the annual St Petersburg International Economic Forum, Putin said the Iranian people had demonstrated unity and resilience during the ongoing crisis and stressed that their interests must be taken into account in any future settlement.
“There is no doubt that the people of Iran have proven that their interests should be taken into account. They have shown cohesion and their will to fight. We maintain contacts with our Iranian friends and we hope that this will end up in a positive result,” he said.
