Republic Media Network has announced that Senior Anchor Mridul Sharma will take over as the new face of Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hai, the flagship prime-time show on Republic Bharat and one of Hindi news television’s most-watched programs.
Known for his strong nationalistic voice and sharp news instincts, Sharma has previously anchored the show and earned widespread recognition for his work on Republic Bharat’s News Ka X Ray. With this move, he steps into one of the most influential editorial slots in the country, leading a program that has consistently shaped the national conversation.
Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hai, conceptualised and executed by Republic Bharat’s core editorial team, is celebrated for its 100% news format and consistent No. 1 ratings in Hindi news prime time. The show has built a loyal audience by covering major national stories alongside impactful reports from India’s smallest towns, reflecting the pulse of the nation.
Speaking on his new role, Mridul Sharma said, “This is such an exciting opportunity and I am grateful that I get to host this show which has been ideated by the core team of Republic Bharat since its inception year. My promise is simple: to bring Bharat’s story, as it is, straight to our viewers every night.”
Republic Media Network Founder and Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami added, “This show has been the soul of Republic Bharat — bold, deep, and deeply connected to the people. Mridul brings the energy and credibility to take this show where it needs to go.”
Described as a labour of passion by Republic Bharat’s journalists, Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hai is built on the principle of nation-first journalism, delivering editorial depth and ground-level reporting. With Sharma at the helm, the network says the show will continue to lead the Hindi news space, break major stories, and champion the spirit of Bharat.
