7 new shows and movies to watch on Paramount+ in July – How-To Geek

This month on Paramount+, viewers are in for a handful of new titles, including a live sporting event straight from the Octagon. The highlights, though, are the new seasons of Diarra from Detroit and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, as well as a juicy documentary about the true story of the famed Wolf of Wall Street, Jordan Belfort. The new 2026 crime thriller Wardriver is also making its movie streaming debut.
While Paramount’s full July lineup is stacked with plenty of new options to watch, these are the top seven new shows and movies arriving to the platform this month. Our top pick is the upcoming penultimate season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
CBS is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with The Great American Block Party 250, a live special airing on Independence Day. Tony Dokoupil and Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner will host the special. Viewers can expect countrywide events and concerts, with the celebration ending with what the network is calling “the biggest fireworks show in history.”
The Great American Block Party 250 airs July 4 at 8 PM ET.
UFC 329 goes live from Las Vegas with Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated return to action in an epic rematch against Max Holloway. Their bout is supported by an explosive lightweight showdown between Paddy Pimblett and Benoît Saint–Denis.
UFC 329: McGregor vs. Holloway 2 premieres July 11 at 9 PM ET.
The Logitech Z906 packs a complete 5.1-channel home theater system into a single box, with only a few minor compromises for the price.
Mixed martial arts action shows no signs of slowing down. This particular Fight Night card brings elite contenders into the Octagon, anchored by a thrilling collision between Dricus Du Plessis and Kamaru Usman that carries massive title implications.
UFC Fight Night: Du Plessis vs. Usman premieres July 18 at 8 PM ET.
The iconic 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street saw Hollywood turn Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his band of boiler-room brokers at Stratton Oakmont into the face of 1990s excess. The Real Wolf of Wall Street tells an even darker and more debauched account of Belfort’s meteoric rise, his stunning fall, and those he left stranded in his wake.
The three-part original documentary features never-before-seen footage, thousands of internal FBI documents, and archival interviews that include insights from Jordan’s former wife, Nadine, whose dreams of a fairytale life turned toxic fast. Also included are first-hand accounts from former members of Belfort’s inner circle.
The Real Wolf of Wall Street premieres July 14.

Summer Adventure is the name of the game in season two of Diarra from Detroit. As the school year ends, Diarra (Diarra Kilpatrick) and crew are itching to let loose, enjoy the sunshine, and put last year’s winter events behind them. However, when Diarra and Chris (Shannon Wallace, City on a Hill) set out on a simple furniture-recovery mission that entangles them in the center of a grizzly crime, Diarra is left desperately trying to solve a new case before it derails her entire life.
She’ll be dragging her friends back down the rabbit hole into Detroit’s criminal underbelly, where she’ll have to go undercover with a secret society, star in a Tubi movie, wrangle a troubled teenager, and generally tear up the city on a wild treasure-hunting adventure in a way that only Captain Extra could. Viewers can also expect old flames to heat up with romance and unexpected complications.
Diarra from Detroit season 2 will see a double-episode premiere July 29. New episodes will roll out weekly through September 9.

Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) and Sasha Calle (DC’s The Flash) star in Wardriver, a high-tech, white-knuckle crime thriller from Rebecca Thomas (Electrick Children). The 2026 movie boasts a 100% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, so you know it’s got to be good.
The story follows a brilliant digital thief who gets coerced into a million-dollar cyberheist. He then accidentally exposes a massive mob money-laundering scheme. Before he can blink, things have spiraled into a deadly game of cyber cat-and-mouse where his survival depends on outsmarting a ruthless black-market predator and where every line of code could be his last.
Wardriver makes its streaming debut July 8.

Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise return for more thrilling and emotional galactic adventures in season four of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. While it isn’t the final season of the show, it is the final full 10-episode season, and per the official logline, it will return to the adventurous vibe of The Original Series.
As their journey to strange new worlds continues in this penultimate season, the captain and his crew will battle inner demons and external threats, encounter colorful new characters, reunite with familiar faces, and confront terrifying aliens. Through it all, though, they strive to embrace a bright, hopeful future together.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premieres July 23. New episodes will roll out weekly through September 24.

No matter your preference, Paramount+ has something to suit your taste streaming in July. Buckle up for those Star Trek adventures. Some will be strange, pun intended.
