A 25-year-old man who had come to meet his girlfriend at her house in Roshan Nagar, Faridabad was stabbed to death on Wednesday night. The police have arrested five accused including a minor within hours of the incident.
The arrested accused were identified as Prince, Roshan, Rahul, residents of Jaitpur in Delhi and Harsh, resident of Arpan Vihar, Delhi and one minor. The main accused identified as Aman is still on large.
The deceased was identified as Manas Rai, a resident of Ekta Vihar, Jaitpur in Delhi.
According to the complaint filed by Rajkumar, the father of the deceased, his son was acquainted with a girl living in Roshan Nagar. On April 1, around 10:00 pm, his son along with his friend Harsh went to meet the girl at her home in Roshan Nagar. The girl’s father was also at home.
“While they were talking, the girl’s younger sister came home from outside with some acquaintances Aman, Prince, Roshan, Rahul, Harsh and others. Aman took a knife from his pocket and attacked Manas Rai. My son’s friend Harsh tried to stop the attack with his hand, injuring him in the hand. Aman then stabbed my son again in the stomach, and the others assaulted him and Harsh with kicks, punches and slaps. My son died while undergoing treatment at Safdarjung Hospital,” added the father of the deceased. Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Palla police station and five accused were arrested on Thursday while the main accused Aman is still on the run.
“Initial investigation revealed that the accused Aman had a previous dispute with the deceased Manas Rai. On the night of April 1, Aman reached Roshan Nagar with his friends, where he stabbed Manas Rai in the stomach. We are questioning the arrested accused and raids are being conducted to nab the main accused,” said a spokesperson of the Faridabad police.
