Mavericks Inc. (headquartered in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shota Okuno), the developer of the AI video generation service “NoLang,” announced on July 3 that it has added four languages—Polish, Czech, Slovak, and Romanian—to the platform’s video generation capabilities. By simply selecting from the language menu, users can generate videos with local-language narration and subtitles based on Japanese materials and scripts. This effectively establishes an in-house production framework for IR disclosures, training, and marketing videos targeting the Central European market, eliminating the need to outsource to translation companies or arrange for narrators.
With this update, NoLang’s supported languages have been further expanded. The previous day, the company also announced support for three Nordic languages—Swedish, Danish, and Finnish—as Mavericks accelerates its push into the European market as a Japan-originated multilingual video generation infrastructure.
The four Central European countries of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania represent a region where Japanese companies are steadily increasing their presence. According to a regional report by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Poland alone hosts 354 Japanese company bases, of which 114 are in manufacturing. Across Central and Eastern Europe as a whole, approximately 1,500 Japanese company bases are in operation.
JETRO’s “FY2025 Survey on Overseas Business Operations of Japanese Companies (Europe Edition)” reveals that the median base salary increase at Japanese companies operating in Central and Eastern Europe reached a high level of over 4%. Furthermore, the proportion of manufacturing companies expecting improved operating profits rose by 10.6 percentage points year-on-year to 44.7%, clearly indicating increasingly active local business operations.
However, language barriers remain a significant challenge. A survey conducted by CSA Research covering 8,709 consumers across 29 countries found that 76% of respondents “prefer to purchase products with information provided in their own language,” while 40% stated they “will not purchase from websites available only in other languages.” Languages such as Polish and Czech have unique linguistic systems distinct from English, making local-language communication a key factor in market penetration.
By simply selecting Polish (Polski), Czech (Čeština), Slovak (Slovenčina), or Romanian (Română) from the language settings menu on NoLang’s video generation screen, users can output videos featuring avatar narration. This selection feature is available across all video generation modes, including text input, PDF materials, and audio files.
Modes such as “Have AI Present Materials,” “Summarize Materials,” and “Analyze Materials,” which use PDFs as input, have also been newly adapted for the four Central European languages. By simply uploading existing Japanese documents such as financial statements or product catalogs, users can directly create explanatory or summary videos tailored for local audiences.
For subtitle display, the system correctly renders special characters unique to each language without corruption, including Polish characters such as “ł” and “ż,” Czech and Slovak characters such as “č,” “š,” and “ř,” and Romanian characters such as “ă” and “ț.” Additionally, the platform features a mechanism that automatically calculates narration playback time and video duration based on the standard speech pace of each language, preventing unnatural dragging or rushed speech and producing videos with a natural tempo.
Furthermore, videos already generated in Japanese can be converted to the four Central European languages with a single click using the “Convert” button on the viewing screen. There is no need to recreate previously produced videos from scratch, and the ability to repurpose existing assets for multilingual deployment enhances corporate content production efficiency.
