Habitat for Humanity of Owensboro-Daviess County will begin accepting applications July 7 for its Future Homeowners Program, which will provide affordable homeownership opportunities in the new Clemmie Court Commons community.
Before the application period opens, Habitat will host two free informational sessions for anyone interested in learning more about the program, eligibility requirements and the application process. Staff will also answer questions during each session.

Both sessions will be held at Habitat’s office, 2930 W. Fourth St. in Owensboro.
According to Executive Director Amanda Green, the organization encourages anyone interested in affordable homeownership to attend one of the sessions and share the information with others who may qualify.
Completed applications will be accepted Aug. 17-31. Applicants must complete every section of the application, sign all required documents, include supporting documentation, and complete the required background check and credit report for every household member age 18 or older before submitting an application.
Applications must be delivered in person to the Habitat office at 2930 W. Fourth St. Applicants are asked to call 270-695-7826 before dropping off materials to ensure staff members are available. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to noon Friday.
