Welcome to the Daily Briefing. Start with these reads:
Nicole Fallert here, bringing you the news to know on Friday.
I can’t help a “Bejeweled” lyrical reference here: July 3 is expected to be Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s highly-anticipated wedding day. A lavish extravaganza is rumored to take place at Madison Square Garden, where famous friends gathered last night for a reported rehearsal dinner. The affair is set to be expensive fête typical of luxury celeb nuptials, however the couple donated $26 million to charity ahead of their big day.
Swifties are pretty pumped (check out this Kansas City bakery’s wedding cake) and are tracking any sign of what the bride will wear, what inside the arena look like and who’s invited (or not). Perhaps a special episode of Kelce’s podcast today will give clues.
Wimbledon 2026
Serena Williams has returned to Wimbledon after nearly four years. Williams was scheduled for doubles competition yesterday with her sister, Venus, but the match did not appear on the Wimbledon schedule Thursday. The match could take place on Friday.
America 250
new and updated Constellation Ball with 5,280 Waterford crystals and LED light pucks will be lit up and dropped eight times on July 3 for America’s 250th, marking the first time in history the Ball drops outside of New Year’s Eve.
