Observers homed in on something behind the White House press secretary in her Air Force One photo.
Deputy Editor, Trends, HuffPost
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt shared an image of herself aboard President Donald Trump’s new ride ― but all critics could focus on was one tiny detail behind her.
“What a privilege to be aboard the inaugural flight on the brand new Air Force One!” she wrote on X. “A truly unforgettable day.”

Two of the images show her outside the new Air Force One, a $400 million luxury jet that was gifted to Trump by Qatar and that he intends to keep upon leaving the White House via his planned presidential library.
U.S. taxpayers paid for as much as $1 billion in security upgrades and an overhaul ― perhaps including one piece of decor seen behind Leavitt in one of the images she posted on X: books.
At least, they look like books.
But eagle-eyed social media users zoomed in and found they have suspiciously generic titles such as “Library,” “Arts,” “Vintages” and “Antiques.”
Rather than books, they appear to be a facade ― the kind of fake books used on shelves in furniture stores like Ikea.
Critics couldn’t help but point that out on X:
Of course a plane full of people who have never read a book has a bookshelf of fake books with titles like “Library” https://t.co/DhJbhBNFs1 pic.twitter.com/byUu16vKoW
Folks in the comments are defending the fake books, saying that real ones would weigh too much. But at $400m why not emboss the fakes with titles of American classics, such as “Moby-Dick”, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”, or even “My Parents Open Carry”? https://t.co/yGBl6OQ0BS
Lmao the books just say shit like “library” and “arts” on them https://t.co/6Z9tOdbPvd pic.twitter.com/22yWpSEICI
The fake books on the Qatari-American Air Force One tells me all I need to know about this presidency. https://t.co/Xpery1rINR
The books are where the Qatari government hid the microphones, because they know no one will ever find them there. https://t.co/u9BmkaWHNN
Lmao of course they put fake books on Trump’s Qatari plane pic.twitter.com/E8rbDhNIBW
The titles of the fake books on Trump’s Qatari jet include:
– Smiling For Dummies by Karoline Leavitt
– The Wisdom of Melania (back of a deposit slip)
– Until the Will Is Finalized by Ivanka Trump
– Rodent Sexual Techniques by Stephen and Katie Miller
– Bible made of cake pic.twitter.com/dAP5bKpb4S
Are those…fake books? https://t.co/uXD3i0Yc12
What books do you read?
“I read library books” https://t.co/sJA49y7g1l
Yup, those are fake books titled “library”. Real ones would just be extra weight because the obese idiot doesn’t read. pic.twitter.com/fzNJym9uI3
Zoom in on the book titles… all fake!! “Library” “Arts”… 😂😂 https://t.co/3REEAMCrlk
