In a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on Thursday, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres once again extended his condolences over the martyrdom of late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and expressed sympathy with the Iranian government and people.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, the implementation of the agreement on ending the Zionist regime’s military aggression against Lebanon, developments following the signing of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US, and the latest progress in the ongoing negotiations.
