Santech Global USA, a company based in Princeton, NJ and Kolkata, India, announced recently that it is launching a project for the advancement of its India–Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Mission.
According to Santech, this is a strategic technology initiative focused on building a globally connected semiconductor and AI ecosystem through research, innovation, workforce development, and manufacturing partnerships, a press release said.
The initiative includes the planned development of a Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Technology Campus on approximately 23 acres of land in India, supporting semiconductor design, prototyping, validation, advanced packaging collaboration, AI research, and technology commercialization.
Santech Global has collaborative engagements and approvals with leading academic and research organizations, including Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and NY CREATES.
“These collaborations are intended to support semiconductor research, workforce development, innovation programs, advanced packaging technologies, prototyping activities, and industry-academia partnerships,” Santech said in its press release.
“Through these engagements, Santech Global aims to create a strong bridge between American and Indian innovation ecosystems while accelerating semiconductor and AI capability development,” it added.
The mission is designed to support:

• Embedded systems and MEMS technologies
• Semiconductor intellectual property development
• Advanced packaging and testing collaborations

The first generation of Santech semiconductor products is expected to focus on AI-enabled edge computing, healthcare electronics, industrial automation, IoT systems, and smart infrastructure applications.
As part of its U.S. expansion strategy, Santech Global said it is pursuing the establishment of a Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence in collaboration with state-supported institutions, universities, research centers, and industry partners.
The Center of Excellence will focus on:
