President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signaled a strategic shift in how Ukraine evaluates military aid, revealing that the country is turning down certain Western combat vehicles in favor of high-tech weaponry.
Zelenskyy explained that while international partners continue to offer light combat and armored vehicles, a significant portion of the equipment is too outdated for the realities of modern warfare, News.Az reports, citing DRM News.
Furthermore, restoring and repairing these aging vehicles places an unnecessary financial burden on Kyiv.

“We are being offered light combat vehicles and armored vehicles. But some of this equipment is already technically outdated for the current stage of the war and requires additional funds for repair and restoration.
That is why Ukraine has to direct its limited resources primarily toward missiles, drones and drone-missiles.”
