As the Supreme Court concluded its term Tuesday, it was unsurprising that two key decisions were generating much of the discussion, in a year filled with significant ones.
The court upheld both birthright citizenship amid an executive order by President Donald Trump to dial it back, and state level bans on transgender female athletes competing in women’s and girls’ school sports.
On Tuesday’s show, Capital Tonight broke down how the court’s decisions, both of which have been celebrated and condemned on opposite sides of the ideological spectrum, are being absorbed in a divided America as well as the impact of those decisions on state law here in New York.
