The Toronto Blue Jays are shaking up their rotation once again.
Veteran left-hander Patrick Corbin is being moved to the bullpen after a rough June, manager John Schneider told reporters ahead of Tuesday’s game against the New York Mets.
Corbin was in line to start in Wednesday’s Canada Day game, but now Bryadon Fisher will take the ball in the series finale against the Mets.
Schneider said that right-hander Spencer Miles could be an option to start, or the team could use an opener.
Corbin, 36, signed a one-year, $1-million deal with the Blue Jays in early April to help Toronto make up for the multitude of injuries it has dealt with this season.
While Corbin provided some valuable innings early, he has struggled mightily since the calendar flipped to June, carrying an 8.69 ERA with 30 hits allowed over five starts in the month.
In total, Corbin owns a 5.09 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 15 starts and 69.0 innings in 2026 for the Blue Jays.
The 14-year MLB veteran has made 19 appearances out of the bullpen in his career, with the most recent coming on Sept. 19, 2025, for the Texas Rangers.
Toronto will now have three left-handed options in its bullpen, with Corbing joining Mason Fluharty and Adam Macko.
