Following the initial shock over the massive tree harvest in Potter Woods due to red pine scale, residents took some comfort after their concerns were heard during last week’s informational forum. 
The Glens Falls High School Class of 2026 celebrated its commencement on Saturday morning with a near-capacity crowd filling the school’s auditorium. 
Fireworks and festivities will be offered at a variety of events throughout the region to celebrate July 4.

Hundreds of family members and friends came out to see Queensbury’s graduation at the Harding Mazzotti Arena in Glens Falls Friday. 
A joint federal, state and local law enforcement crackdown on crime in Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties led to the seizure of numerous drugs. 
Several local students won $1,500 scholarships, and one won $10K to attend SUNY ADK.
Additional funds are still needed, and the 120-year-old window, a centerpiece of the church and Greenwich’s architectural history, faces a dire future without intervention. 
The local Club has awarded a total of $21,000 in scholarships and awards to graduates of area high schools and a local woman attending college.
