Interstate 5 in Yolo County to reopen after fire that also prompted nearby evacuations – KCRA

Southbound Interstate 5 in Yolo County has reopened, following a vegetation fire in the Dunnigan area that prompted nearby evacuations.
LiveCopter 3 footage showed one home was destroyed, and several other structures were also burned. (Watch in the video below.)

The I-5 closure was at the Dunnigan exit south of the Yolo-Colusa county lines, Caltrans said. California Highway Patrol traffic logs indicated the fire was first reported at 1:22 p.m. Lanes reopened about 6:30 p.m., LiveCopter 3 footage showed.
A temporary evacuation center was set up at Fire Station 12, 29145 Main Street, in Dunnigan. Evacuations in the area have since been lifted.
