Registrations are now open for Small Business Week 2026, bringing five days of expert advice, networking opportunities and practical workshops to help South Australian businesses grow.
South Australia’s biggest annual event for small businesses is back this August with a packed program designed to help local operators grow, adapt and thrive.
Running from August 17th to 21st, Small Business Week 2026 will bring together entrepreneurs, industry experts and government representatives for a series of practical workshops, networking opportunities and business events across the state.
The week kicks off with the Small Business Expo at the Adelaide Convention Centre, where attendees can connect with industry experts, discover new resources and hear from keynote speaker and 9News Finance Editor Chris Kohler.
From there, the program covers everything from using artificial intelligence in business and building an online presence to employing staff, understanding commercial leases, preparing to export and learning how to use the South Australian State Brand to strengthen marketing.
For women in business, a dedicated breakfast on August 18th will feature entrepreneur and leadership expert Dr Gemma Munro, who will share practical advice on building stronger businesses, planning for change and accessing support networks.
One of the week’s biggest drawcards, the annual Meet the Buyer event on August 19th, will once again connect South Australian businesses with government agencies and major industry buyers, giving local operators the chance to explore procurement opportunities and potentially secure new contracts.
Food and wine businesses will have a dedicated session focusing on brand strategy, digital marketing, e-commerce and innovation to help producers and hospitality businesses stay competitive.
For those unable to attend every event in person, a suite of on-demand resources will also be available, covering topics including cyber security, disaster recovery, energy efficiency and business diversification. Local success stories from businesses including Vili’s, Badger Workwear and Coorong Wild Seafood will also feature throughout the online content.
Minister for Small and Family Business Nadia Clancy said, “Small Business Week gives business owners the opportunity to hear from experts, connect with peers and focus on the decisions that can strengthen resilience and support their future growth.
“This year’s program will reach businesses across metropolitan and regional South Australia. By aligning with the annual Meet the Buyer event for the first time, it will create more opportunities for businesses to connect with government and industry buyers.”
Small Business Week is delivered by the Office for Small and Family Business in partnership with the Small Business Commission SA, the Industry Advocate and Consumer and Business Services as part of South Australia’s Small Business Strategy 2023–2030.
