Iran, South Korea Discuss Regional Developments and Diplomacy – WANA News Agency

WANA (Jun 26) – The foreign ministers of Iran and South Korea held a telephone conversation on Friday to discuss the latest regional developments, the progress of Iran-U.S. negotiations, and bilateral relations.
 
During the call, South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun welcomed the recent understanding between Iran and the United States and reaffirmed Seoul’s support for diplomatic efforts aimed at preserving peace and stability in West Asia, as well as ensuring the security of maritime navigation in the region.
 
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi briefed his South Korean counterpart on the latest developments in the negotiations, the progress made in implementing the agreed understandings, and the diplomatic consultations conducted within that framework.
 
The two ministers also reviewed recent bilateral, regional, and international developments and underscored the importance of maintaining political dialogue and expanding cooperation between Tehran and Seoul.
 
The telephone conversation comes as recent diplomatic progress between Iran and the United States, along with broader efforts to reduce regional tensions, has become a key topic in Iran’s discussions with governments across the region and beyond.
