Lama AI, a fintech company based in Israel that develops an AI-agent platform for the banking sector, has raised $12 million in Series A funding, bringing its total funding to more than $20 million.
The funding round was led by EJF Ventures. Additional investors included Fin Capital, 1st & Main, senior executives from the U.S. banking industry, SixThirty, Viola Ventures, and Hetz Ventures.
The company plans to use the new capital to expand its go-to-market, sales, and marketing teams and to meet growing demand from banks across the United States.
Founded by CEO Omri Yacubovich, Lama AI provides an artificial intelligence infrastructure that delivers credit-risk assessment solutions. Its platform enables banks and fintech companies to accelerate the loan approval process for small and medium-sized businesses.
