JAMESTOWN — Friday’s Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game got away from Jamestown when Niagara scored six runs in the top of the third inning on its way to a 10-2 victory at Diethrick Park.
The loss was the third straight for the Tarp Skunks, who fell to 11-5 on the season.
Cal Noonan earned the win for the Ironbacks, tossing five innings of five-hit ball while allowing two runs. He walked three and struck out two.
Jordan Sfyndilis went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBIs while Jordan Gallo added two hits, including a double, three RBIs and a run scored. Josh Bullock and Will Mijares each scored twice for Niagara.
Franklin Griffin walked to open the third inning and Cooper Martin reached on a one-out infield single before Ronan Glassford walked to load the bases. After Griffin scored on a wild pitch, Kieran Cutler was hit by a pitch and Bullock walked to force in the second run. Mijares then hit an RBI single to spell the end of the evening for Jamestown starter Ryan Tatar. Gallo greeted reliever Camp Churchill with an RBI single and Sfyndilis followed with a two-run single to make it 6-2.

Niagara added three more runs in the fifth and its final run in the ninth.
The Tarp Skunks totaled seven hits on the night. Nate Muncy and Joaquin Rodriguez-Costa each had two while Eric Weeks added a double. Tatar allowed six runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four. Churchill, Cohen Harris and Reno Spagnoli threw the final six-plus innings for the Tarp Skunks.
Jamestown is off until traveling to Niagara Falls for a 6:30 p.m. game Tuesday at Sal Maglie Stadium. The Tarp Skunks return home Thursday to host the Batavia Muckdogs at 6:30 p.m.
