The Obama Presidential Center’s star-studded grand opening ceremony is set to begin Thursday, bringing a slew of celebrities and dignitaries to Chicago for the big event.

The festivities are slated to begin at 11 a.m. and feature what organizers said would be “legendary performances by global icons and powerful remarks from today’s most prominent voices.”
Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, John Legend and Bono are just some of the many big names slated to perform.
Here’s how to watch it all unfold live:
The Obama Presidential Center is located at 6001 S. Stony Island Ave. on Chicago’s South Side.
The invite-only celebration on Thursday takes place on the center’s John Lewis Plaza.
The event is expected to begin at 11 a.m. CT and end shortly after 1 p.m.
The former president and former first lady Michelle Obama are both in Chicago for the grand opening and they are expected to be joined by a host of dignitaries for the ceremony.
The guestlist includes several celebrity musicians, along with former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

With tickets to the big event already sold out, those who can’t make it in person will still be able to watch the event live as it happens.
The ceremony is set to take place Thursday on the center’s John Lewis Plaza.
NBC Chicago will offer a live feed of the festivities from 8-10:30 a.m. on the NBC Chicago 24/7 streaming channel and our app. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., coverage will appear on television as well, continuing through 1 p.m.
Telemundo Chicago will also offer a live stream of the event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Telemundo Chicago app and website.
The presidential center will open to the public on Friday, the Juneteenth holiday. Tickets for opening day — and for months after — are sold out.
The sprawling $850 million campus includes campaign memorabilia, presidential artifacts, a Chicago Public Library branch, a full-size basketball court and more.
Multiple road closures were in effect starting Monday morning in Chicago in preparation for the event.
The following street closures went into effect at 6 a.m. Monday and last for five days.
