India Approves Major Drone Warfare Hub in Uttar Pradesh – The Defense Post

India has cleared a 5-billion-rupee ($52.9 million) National Military Drone Technology Hub in Uttar Pradesh, advancing its push to develop indigenous unmanned systems and counter-drone capabilities.
Based at the state-owned Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), the facility is expected to provide end-to-end capabilities, including assembly and validation of military payloads, networking systems, ground stations, and countermeasure technologies.
Officials describe the hub as a central site for research, development, and deployment of advanced drone systems.
