Meteorologist Amber Kulick’s Thursday Morning Forecast 6/18/26
Tropical moisture from what is the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthurs and a cold front will team up to bring a soggy day ahead today. We may briefly dry a bit later in the day on Friday, but more scattered rain is in the forecast for the coming weekend.
Out the door this morning is very warm and muggy with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s already. Scattered showers and storms will begin to move in by the later morning hours. Locally heavy rain and some isolated strong wind gusts are possible, but widespread severe weather and flooding is not expected. Temperatures will be held down in the low 80s for highs.
Friday’s rain chances look highest in the morning, but wet weather is likely to shift to our south by afternoon in the wake of a weak cold front. Temperatures will warm back into the mid 80s with slightly lower humidity.
More scattered showers and storms are expected over the weekend, but it’s not looking like a complete washout. In typical summer fashion, locally heavy downpours can be expected. We’ll otherwise be seasonably warm and humid with highs in the mid 80s.
Scattered rain remains a possibility into early next week but drier weather is coming toward the end of the week. Temperatures will stay mostly in the mid 80s for highs with overnight lows in the upper 60s.
THURSDAY: Scattered rain and a few storms. Highs in the low 80s. Wind: S 10-15 mph, gusts 25 mph.
TONIGHT: A few showers and storms. Lows in the lower 70s. Wind: S 5 mph.
