NEW YORK – June 18, 2026 – NBC News’ TODAY was the #1 morning show across all key measures for the week, beating ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS Mornings in total viewers and the key demo A25-54. The broadcast posted its 21st consecutive weekly win in total viewers, its longest streak since April 2012, while extending its lead in key demo A25-54 to 132 consecutive weeks.
TODAY’s lead over GMA exceeded 200,000 viewers for the fifth consecutive week, its best run since February 2012. The show hit a 9-week high in total viewers and its largest advantage over CBS in 14 weeks. TODAY has now beat CBS by more than one million viewers for 26 consecutive weeks, its longest streak since May 2015.
In key demo A25-54, TODAY averaged 682,000 viewers, outperforming GMA by +196,000 viewers (+40%) and CBS by +418,000 viewers (+159%). The broadcast posted 17-week highs in A25-54 viewership and advantages over both competitors and has now topped GMA by more than 100,000 demo viewers for 20 consecutive weeks.
Following NBA Finals games, TODAY averaged 3.1 million total viewers, beating GMA by 7% (+213,000 viewers), and averaged 680,000 viewers in the key demo A25-54, leading GMA by 38% (+188,000 viewers).
TODAY ranks as the #1 morning show across the board season-to-date, leading in total viewers and the key demo A25-54, and TODAY is posting the biggest total viewer growth versus last season (up +6%).
