New Delhi, Jun 13 (KNN) India’s agriculture and water technology startup ecosystem is witnessing growing momentum, with increasing focus on scaling innovation, commercialisation and sustainability-driven solutions, according to a NASSCOM report.
Agri And Water Tech Startups Move Beyond Pilot Phase
The deeptech sectors in agriculture and water management are increasingly moving beyond pilot projects, with startups now working towards wider deployment and enterprise adoption.
The ecosystem is also attracting participation from investors, industry leaders and policymakers aimed at bridging the gap between innovation and large-scale implementation, reported ANI.
According to NAASCOM, startups in these segments are leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, biotechnology, sensing systems and climate-tech solutions to address challenges related to productivity, resource efficiency and water management.
Scaling Challenges Persist For Startups
However, industry stakeholders noted that many startups continue to face challenges in scaling operations, particularly in areas such as market access, funding availability and enterprise integration.
Efforts are now being made to strengthen collaboration between startups, corporates and government bodies to support commercial deployment.
Collaboration Key To Sustainable Growth
The initiative also highlights the growing importance of agriculture and water technologies in addressing climate stress, sustainability concerns and resource constraints, with India emerging as a key hub for innovation in these sectors.
The developments were discussed during NASSCOM’s Deeptech Confluence 2026, which brought together startups, investors and ecosystem partners to explore pathways for scaling solutions in agriculture and water tech.
