Hawai‘i County has opened the grant application process to fund nonprofit projects from agriculture to business to tourism.
The Impact Grant Program is administered by the Department of Research and Development. Applicants are invited to apply for funding for the 2026-27 fiscal year. A total of $450,000 is available, with individual awards ranging from $10,000 to $25,000, according to a news release from the county on Friday, June 12.
In its third year of awarding funds, the Impact Grant Program provides annual competitive funding to nonprofit organizations pursuing projects that advance positive changes within the following program areas:
Projects must demonstrate a clear connection to the Department of Research and Development’s objectives for these priority areas and show tangible benefit to the community.
Applications are open to nonprofit organizations meeting the department’s eligibility criteria. Interested organizations are encouraged to review the full program guidelines available on the department’s website before applying.
