OBSERVER File Photo Clymer/Sherman/Panama senior Elli Bodamer was named the CCAA Division 2 Pitcher of the Year and Player of the Year this season.
Elli Bodamer excelled at the plate and in the circle, so much so that the Clymer/Sherman/Panama senior was named the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 Pitcher and Player of the Year.
In the circle, Bodamer finished 10-3 in 13 starts for the Wolfpack. In 83 innings, the right-hander struck out 127 while walking 11 and hitting three batters. Just nine of the 31 runs she allowed were earned, leaving her with a 0.76 earned run average. She allowed 49 hits and stranded 54 runners on base.
At the plate, Bodamer hit .542 with six doubles, a triple and three home runs. She drove in 23 runs and scored 16 while striking out just twice and walking six times.
Bodamer was joined on the league’s First Team by senior teammate Jessica Lyon and freshman teammate Addie Wiggers. Lyon hit .417 with four doubles and a triple while driving in four runs and scoring 21. Wiggers hit .475 with seven doubles while driving in 13 runs and scoring eight.
Chautauqua Lake placed three players on the First Team in senior Lucy Gates as well as freshmen Kinslee Motter and Alice Scarpine. Gates hit .477 with a double, a triple and a home run while driving in 14 runs and scoring 19. Motter hit .500 with two doubles and two home runs while driving in 21 runs and scoring 22. Scarpine hit .415 with a double and a triple while driving in nine runs and scoring 19.
Maple Grove also placed three girls on the First Team in senior Dani Trim as well as sophomores Margaret Ryan and Savannah Rambacher. Trim hit .360 with three doubles, a triple and a home run while driving in eight runs and scoring 16. Ryan hit .472 with three doubles, a triple and two home runs while driving in 23 runs and scoring 18. She also threw all but four of the Red Dragons’ innings in the circle, striking out 91 while pitching to a 3.53 ERA. Rambacher hit .377 with four doubles while driving in 14 runs and scoring three.
Seniors Mackenzie Schumaker and Arielle Corbett were Westfield’s representatives on the First Team. Schumaker hit .532 with seven doubles and two triples while driving in three runs and scoring 22. Corbett hit .490 with nine doubles and two triples while driving in 22 runs and scoring 13.
Cassadaga Valley junior Anna Burlingame and Frewsburg freshman Presleigh Stelmack were the final two First-Team selections. Burlingame hit .345 with a double and a home run while driving in six runs and scoring five. Stelmack hit .313 with a .404 slugging percentage and an .820 fielding percentage.
Clymer/Sherman/Panama and Chautauqua Lake also placed three girls apiece on the Second Team. Tayler Pinzok, Caylee Pinzok and Kiera Loberg represented the Wolfpack while Macy Ulsh, Jillian Miller and Karagan Fairbank represented the Eagles.
Westfield’s Madyson Burgess and Avery Smith, Cassadaga Valley’s Faith McVey and Kristyn McVey, Maple Grove’s Bryanna Cornell, and Frewsburg’s Kaylee Melquist completed the Second Team.
