Last month, Spotify reassured users that its disco ball app icon was temporary as part of its 20th birthday celebration. Now, 25 days later, the Spotify app update that fixes the logo is now available.
If it felt like the change took a bit longer than expected, there’s a good reason for that.
Originally, Spotify said it would change its icon “next week,” which was a statement made on a Sunday.
Alright, we know glitter is not for everyone. Our temp glow up ends soon. Your regularly scheduled Spotify icon returns next week.
A few “next weeks” later, the promised update has finally arrived.
Next, we’ll have to wait and see if the latest Spotify update fixes that pesky CarPlay problem.
In the meantime, you can grab the latest Spotify update from the App Store. Or, if you love the disco ball and don’t want the music to stop, maybe avoid it.
