There’s a new Spielberg sci-fi epic out. Here’s how to watch it.
This week, Steven Spielberg’s latest feature film, Disclosure Day, arrives from Universal Pictures. The first Spielberg feature since The Fabelmans in 2022, it’s also the director’s first science fiction epic since Ready Player One, and his first major alien film since War of the Worlds more than two decades ago. To say anticipation is high might be an understatement.
So, how can you get a chance to see the movie first, and spend opening weekend taking in this much-anticipated movie event with friends? Here’s how to watch.

When Disclosure Day arrives the evening of June 11, it will arrive exclusively in movie theaters. The film will of course eventually land on home media, including streaming services, but those details have not yet been announced. For the moment, the only way to watch Disclosure Day is to buy a ticket, got to a theater, and let Spielberg blow your mind.

Written by David Koepp (Jurassic Park) from a story by Spielberg, Disclosure Day follows to seemingly random people — a whistleblower from a cybersecurity firm and a TV meteorologist — as they’re pulled into a vast conspiracy to keep evidence of extraterrestrial encounters from the American public. As the race for the proof heats up, with danger on all sides, a choice must be made: Will the information stay secret, or will disclosure to the world finally happen?
Disclosure Day stars Josh O’Connor, Emily Blunt, Eve Hewson, Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, and Wyatt Russell. It also features music by Spielberg’s most frequent collaborator, the legendary John Williams.
