The US Embassy in Jordan said in a statement on its website that “reports indicate missiles, drones, or rockets are in Jordanian airspace. Seek overhead cover and shelter in place immediately. Remain indoors and pay attention to local announcements and alerts.”
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said it targeted key military facilities at Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan with 12 ballistic missiles.
Al-Azraq base hosts US forces and aircraft.
Kuwait has temporarily closed its airspace due to Iranian attacks.
Flights have been diverted.
Earlier, the Kuwait military said its air defense systems were engaging hostile aerial targets. Iran had said it is targeting US military facilities in Kuwait.
Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior again said sirens are sounding the Gulf Arab country.
“Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place,” the ministry repeated.
Kuwait also said its air defense systems are responding to fresh attacks.
Iran had earlier said it is targeting US military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it attacked US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait in response to the latest round of US strikes on Iranian territory.
“During two waves of operations, eighteen important targets belonging to the US Army,” (were hit) at the Ali Al Salem and Ahmed Al Jaber air bases in Kuwait, the IRGC said.
The Iranian military also said it attacked the “Sheikh Isa Air Base” in Bahrain.
It’s unclear what damage has been done in the latest Iranian attacks.
The US military said its latest round of “self-defense” strikes on Iran have been “completed.”
“CENTCOM forces launches strikes on Iranian military surveillance capabilities, communication systems, and air defense sites across Iran. US Marine Corps, Air Force and Navy assets fired precision munitions on Iranian targets that posed a threat to US forces and international commercial ships transiting regional waters,” the military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a post on X.
“The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression,” the statement added. “US forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready.”
UN chief Antonio Guterres made his usual plea for deescalation as the US and Iran continued to carry out attacks.
Guterres warned that “the Middle East is being pulled deeper into crisis & the consequences reach far beyond the region.”
“This week has brought wider attacks and further deterioration where the ceasefire is more like a lesser-fire,” Guterres said.
The UN Secretary-General said: “All parties must work towards a diplomatic settlement.”
“No more attacks. No more excuses.”
Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior said that sirens are sounding in the Gulf Arab country.

Iran earlier claimed that the Strait of Hormuz is now closed after the latest round of US strikes. Iran state media reported that two ships traversing Hormuz were hit.
US CENTCOM reject this claim and said: ”Commercial ships are continuing to transit in and out of the Strait of Hormuz tonight.”
US Central Command (CENTCOM) rejected reports from Iran that a US warship was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz.
“No US warships have been struck,” CENTCOM said.

President Trump spoke with conservative US broadcaster Fox News regarding the latest round of strikes on Iran.
Trump was with Vice President JD Vance and other officials in the White House Situation Room during the interview, Fox News said.
Trump claimed that he spoke with Iranian officials in Tehran who asked him to stop the bombing, according to the interview. Iranian state media rejected Trump’s account that he spoke with top officials.
Trump said the US attacks on Iran will stop shortly, but threatened more strikes if Iran doesn’t sign onto a peace deal: ‘We’ll bomb the sh– out of them.”
Trump claimed that the ceasefire, which began on April 8, is “the most violated ceasefire in the history of the world.”

Iranian media reported that two “violating ships” trying to go through the Strait of Hormuz have been hit after the Iran military announcement.
A new series of blasts in southern Iran near the Strait of Hormuz have been reported, according to Iranian state media. It came after the US military announced new strikes on Iran.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported an explosion in Bandar Abbas, a port city in Iran’s southern Hormozgan Province.
Blasts were also reported in the cities of Mina and Sirik and on the island of Qeshm.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it began launching strikes against Iran a short while ago.
The US military command said strikes started at 5:15 p.m. ET “against multiple targets in Iran at the Commander in Chief’s direction.”
It said the strikes “are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression.”
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that the US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) would be launching strikes on Iran tonight.
“Central Command will be busy tonight, because President Trump said we will be hitting Iran hard, and we will be,” Hegseth told reporters.
Hegseth said US forces would be attacking “key facilities” in Iran as a result of Iran not reaching a deal with the US to end the war.
Earlier, the US president said that attacks on Iran would continue.
Israel has pushed far into neighboring Lebanon in its most recent offensive against the Iran-backed militia Hezbollah.
Residents in Lebanon’s south fear that Israeli forces may be there for some time or take even more land.
