As the India AI Impact Summit 2026 concludes at Bharat Mandapam on January 31, the Delhi Traffic Police has introduced special traffic arrangements to manage the expected heavy footfall and vehicular movement in New Delhi.
Traffic regulations will be enforced from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM around the summit venue to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety during the event, authorities said. Roads likely to be affected during these hours include Bhairon Road, Bhagwan Dass Road, Purana Qila Road, and Mathura Road.
Motorists have been advised to use alternate routes such as Tilak Marg, Sikandra Road, and Ring Road to avoid delays. The Delhi Traffic Police urged drivers to avoid affected routes where possible, plan their journeys in advance to allow extra travel time, follow the instructions of traffic personnel, maintain lane discipline, and cooperate for smoother movement.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026, the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South, has brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and civil society representatives to discuss responsible AI governance and inclusive technological advancement.
The summit unites government policymakers, industry AI experts, academicians, technology innovators, and civil society representatives from around the world in New Delhi to advance global discussions on artificial intelligence.
Guided by three Sutras — People, Planet, and Progress — the summit emphasises human-centric AI that safeguards rights and ensures equitable benefits across societies, promotes environmentally sustainable AI development, and supports inclusive economic and technological advancement.
The event has seen participation from over 110 countries, 30 international organisations, including approximately 20 Heads of State or Government, and about 45 ministers.
