Railroad enthusiasts who can’t make it to North East in person will still have a chance to witness history as Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 makes its highly anticipated stop in the community on June 9.
The Lake Shore Railway Historical Society announced it will provide live streaming coverage of the world’s largest operating steam locomotive as it arrives in North East as part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary.
Live coverage will begin before the locomotive’s scheduled arrival, giving viewers an opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, and excitement surrounding the historic visit.
Big Boy No. 4014 is expected to arrive in North East at approximately 11:30 a.m. EDT and depart around 11:40 a.m. EDT.
Two separate live camera feeds will be available, offering viewers both east and west perspectives of the locomotive as it passes through the community.
The visit is expected to draw thousands of spectators to North East, making the livestream a convenient option for those unable to attend in person.
Union Pacific’s Big Boy No. 4014 is one of the most iconic steam locomotives ever built and remains a centerpiece of the railroad’s America250 tour, commemorating the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
