Nepal wants to resolve border issues with India through and with an “open mind” based on a bilateral framework, the neighbouring nation’s foreign minister Shishir Khanal said while concluding his 3-day visit to Delhi.

Khanal said that the new government in Kathmandu refuses to look at India through the “distorted, hyper-sensitive lens of 21st century geopolitics” and instead wants to look at India with “clear eyes and a single transparent agenda of economic transformation of Nepal.”

“Rather than engaging in hyper-nationalistic grandstanding, we are pursuing a calm, data-driven approach to resolve issues,” Khanal said.
The remarks came after a controversy triggered by Nepal’s new prime minister Balendra Shah’s recent comments on the boundary row between the two sides.
In a statement made a few days ago, Shah said that territorial encroachments were not one-sided along the India-Nepal border, and both countries have continued to occupy each other’s land.
Shah had also suggested involvement of China and the UK to resolve the issue.
India and Nepal have an old border dispute over the status of Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani, a stretch of territory both sides claim as their own.
An Indian student was shot dead in the US in the early hours of Friday while he was delivering pizza to a house in Philadelphia.
Investigators suspect 28-year-old Anshul Kuncha may have been lured to a vacant property through a fake delivery order before being killed.
According to a report by Indian news portal The News Minute, Kuncha was pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at Temple University. He was from Gundlapochampally in Telangana’s Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
He was working part-time as a pizza delivery executive with Pete’s Pizza to support his studies in the US.
According to Philadelphia police, Kuncha had delivered three pizza boxes to a vacant housing unit before he was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
The Indian government has increased the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 29 (€0,26 or $0,31).
This is the second time the price of cooking gas has been hiked since the US-Iran war broke out three months ago.
The increase follows a Rs 60-per-cylinder hike on March 7 after the conflict in the Middle East disrupted global energy supplies, according to Indian news channel NDTV.
The price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has now been raised to Rs 942 from Rs 913, Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency cited industry sources as saying.

After amassing a massive number of protesters at Jantar Mantar yesterday, the Cockroach Janta Party has demanded the removal of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan within seven days.
“Despite the overwhelming public response, there has still been no resignation and no action from the government. We are therefore giving the government seven days. Either Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan should resign within seven days, or Prime Minister Narendra Modi should dismiss him,” the party said in a statement.
“If no action is taken within seven days, this movement will spread across the country,” it added.

This movement began after India’s Chief Justice, Surya Kant, reportedly likened young critics of the government to “cockroaches” and “parasites” during a court hearing, sparking outrage among young people.
The party is demanding the resignation of Pradhan over alleged exam irregularities.
“If we want to reset the education system, it must begin with the removal of the Education Minister. As long as he remains in office, we cannot begin the process of restoring the education system of this country,” CJP said.
