Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday unveiled a wide-ranging development roadmap for Faridabad, announcing key projects spanning drinking water supply, healthcare, traffic management, and urban infrastructure.

Addressing the Dhanyavaad Evam Viksit rally here, he said, “We are committed to transforming Faridabad into a modern, clean and well-connected city, where every citizen has access to quality water, healthcare, education and infrastructure. ‘Viksit Faridabad’ is not just a vision, but a mission we are actively delivering on the ground.”

To tackle water quality concerns, Saini said the state would explore bringing potable water from the Upper Ganga Canal in coordination with the Uttar Pradesh Government, reducing dependence on groundwater. To strengthen water conservation, rainwater harvesting systems would be installed across 50 community centres and parks in the first phase, along with all government buildings.

Focusing on urban mobility and pollution control, he said major traffic junctions would be upgraded in phases to ensure smoother vehicular flow. He also announced the development of a multi-level parking facility with a banquet hall on HSVP land, alongside a ₹10 crore nature park in Greater Faridabad.
Boosting social infrastructure, he announced a multi-speciality hospital under the PPP model and land allocation for a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Greater Faridabad. IMT Sector 66 will be developed into an “entertainment city” with cinemas, hotels, and multiplexes.

Reinforcing the development push, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for four projects worth ₹120.76 crore — a rest house (₹50.61 crore), a dispensary-cum-CMO office (₹41.70 crore), sewerage works (₹25 crore), and a school building (₹3.45 crore).
Highlighting governance performance, he claimed that 24 of 44 announcements in the region had been completed.
Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar said infrastructure growth in the past decade had transformed Faridabad, citing improved power supply and highway expansion. Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel added that with enhanced connectivity, including links to the Noida International Airport, Faridabad was emerging as a key urban and economic hub in the NCR.
