Amazon has begun sending emails to customers of the first-generation Kindle Scribe e-notebook. It concerns an upcoming firmware update scheduled for release in the next few weeks. The version number will be 5.19.2, and there is no word on which new features or software enhancements will be available. Many people are hoping for the new home screen and cloud storage options that the Kindle Scribe 2025 models offer.
The 2022 Amazon Kindle Scribe is a 10.2-inch, 300 ppi, glare-free E-Ink tablet that merges reading with digital note-taking. It supports writing, journaling, and PDF annotation using a magnetic, battery-free Basic or Premium Pen. It features an auto-adjusting warm light and, through updates, includes “Active Canvas” for in-book note-taking.
