Robotics competition for schools
Blix Education has launched Blixathon 2026, its school robotics competition. The competition will be held across Delhi, Bhopal, Raipur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Pune, Mumbai, and Goa between April and September followed by a national final. The competition runs in partnership with the World School Robotics Olympiad (WSRO).

Parul University, Vadodara, completed its placements with 234 students receiving offers from recruiters such as TCS, Microsoft, Cognizant, LTMindtree, HashedIn by Deloitte, Hexaware, among others.
Management Development Institute Gurgaon concluded its placements with 392 students securing roles across consulting, finance, technology and other sectors. Over 150 companies, including 57 first-time recruiters, participated.
Over 800 students and graduates from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies, have secured residency positions across 23 specialities in the U.S. in 2026.
Research
Professor Sengottuvelu C. of Acharya Bangalore B-School (ABBS), has highlighted the impact of AI on sustainable supply chains in a paper titled Artificial Intelligence Models for Circular Supply Chains published in Materials Management Review.
A study by Prof. Purba Bhattacherjee, Assistant Professor, Finance and Accounting, Goa Institute of Management, and Prof. Sibanjan Mishra from XIM University found that gender-diverse corporate boards significantly influence firms’ responses to climate risks and sustainability disclosures. A paper was published in Finance Research Letters.
Researchers from Nagaland University and Fazl Ali College have developed an eco-friendly method to convert the invasive plant Mikania micrantha into silver nanoparticles to accelerate drug production and combat harmful bacteria. The findings were published in Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications.
Associate Professor Devendra Verma and research scholars Shreya Chrungoo, and Tanmay Bharadwaj from the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering at NIT Rourkela have developed and secured a patent for a bio-ink that can be used in 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering. The findings were published in the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules.
Convocations
A.M. Jain College hosted its 50th convocation for 1,461 students of its self-financed programmes. Mylswamy Annadurai, former Director of the ISRO Satellite Centre, was the chief guest.
BITS School of Management hosted its fourth convocation for 157 graduates of the Class of 2026. The chief guest was Smriti Irani, Member of Parliament.
East Point College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre organised a convocation for 165 graduates. Prof. S. Chandrashekar Shetty, former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, was the chief guest.
Awards
Team Rayquaza EX, comprising Ammar Saifee, Sarthak Bhudolia, Sakshat Sachdeva, and Prabal Minotra from IIIT Delhi, won first place in the Student Track at the AI for Bharat Hackathon organised by Amazon Web Services.
Isourse Technologies hosted the finale of AlgosQuest’25, its national hackathon. KIT College, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, won the Smart Email Solutions category while KJ Somaiya, Mumbai, was the first runner-up in the AI Employee Insights problem statement. Amity University, Bengaluru, was second runner-up for its AI Email Assistant solution.
Shourya Thakur, third-year student of B.Tech. Computing Technologies at SRMIST, Chennai, secured a place in Apple’s global developer ecosystem and was recognised at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2026. Eleven students were selected among the top 350 global winners in Apple’s Swift Student Challenge, which was hosted by the institute.
Rahat Shuja, third-year student of B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering (AI-ML), and Khushi Kumari, first-year student of MCA (AI-ML), Galgotias University, won first place in IIT-Roorkee’s Verdict National Debate Competition.
Launchpad 2026, the national finale of the Young Pioneers programme, co-developed by Cambridge University Press Assessment and Get Set Learn, concluded at IISC Bengaluru. In the Beginner category, the winners were Chirec International School, Hyderabad, and BVP Rabindranath School, Pune. In the Intermediate category, Laurel High Global School, Rajamahendravaram, and Global City, Bengaluru, were winners.
Partnerships
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants signed an MoU with IIM Sirmaur to enhance educational opportunities in Accounting and Finance.
Medhavi Skills University partnered with Woosuk University, South Korea, to set up a Korean Language Centre and promote exchanges. The institute also signed an MoU with Aptech for skill development and vocational training programmes.
Berhampur University, Odisha, signed an MoU with BonV Aerofor collaboration in research, development, and skilling in UAV and deep-tech technologies.
SGT University partnered with Navjyoti India Foundation and India Vision Foundation to promote leadership training, community engagement, and value-based education. The Kiran Bedi Leadership Learning Programme was also launched.
The 1M1B Foundation, in partnership with Microsoft and MeitY Startup Hub, has launched Green Skills and Applied AI for Climate Action Centres of Excellence across Bengaluru, Noida, Lucknow, Shillong, and Hyderabad, to help students apply AI and data to real-world climate challenges.
 The Association of International Schools in India (TAISI) has joined the Safer Internet India coalition to co-develop age-appropriate training on online safety topics like cyberbullying, harassment, and misinformation.
Wadhwani Foundation and Le Rythme signed an MoU to provide employability skills training for students in vocational and skill-based institutions.
JD Institute of Fashion Technology has partnered with the Academy of Beauty with Creativity to launch a Fashion Make-Up course in Mumbai with training in runway and campaign makeup, and hands-on industry exposure.
Amity University Rajasthan signed an MoU with CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CEERI), Pilani, to collaborate on joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programmes, skill development initiatives and the application of advanced technologies in areas such as microwave devices, VLSI design, process automation and machine vision. Students and researchers will have access to CSIR-CEERI’s laboratory infrastructure and domain expertise.
