Global insurance and reinsurance broking group Howden has announced the appointment of T S VijayaVenkateswaran as Executive Vice President, Property and Risk Management, India.
He brings over 24 years of deep experience in risk management, insurance practice, and claims handling across cargo, engineering, property, and liability lines to his new Chennai-based position.
Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience in working with insurer systems, addressing critical pain points within underwriting and claims modules.
He has also been instrumental in settling large and complex claims, facilitating successful reinsurance recoveries by close collaboration with insurers and technical experts.
The executive joins Howden following a four-year tenure at Marsh India, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President, following his position as Vice President.
Prior to this, he spent over seven years as Senior Manager Non Motor Claims at Union Insurance, and as Associate Vice President at Aon Global Insurance Brokers before that.
T S Vijaya has also previously held roles at AIG Systems, 3i Infotech Limited, and Armour Consultants Private Limited.
