The West Virginia Mountaineers look to earn a trip to the regional final on Saturday afternoon when they take on the Kentucky Wildcats. The Mountaineers, who are hosting the regional, easily took down Binghamton in their first game on Friday. They took a while to get their bats going, but once they got going, they didn’t stop. They trailed by one heading into the fourth, but got five runs in the bottom of the inning and five more in the sixth to get the 10-1 win and move on in the winner’s bracket. Armani Guzman and Ben Lumsden led the way at the plater. They both had two hits and three RBI to help the Mountaineers get the win.

The Wildcats earned a date with the Mountaineers thanks to a comeback win over Wake Forest on Friday afternoon.
The Wildcats trailed by three heading into the top of the fifth before they finally scored a run and broke the seal.
They scored once in the top of the fifth, but took the lead with a four-run sixth inning. They did give up the lead in the bottom of the eighth, but answered back with a run in the top of the ninth to get the 6-5 win.
