Meteorologist Aaron Reeves brings your Saturday evening forecast for May 30, 2026.
Saturday afternoon will turn steamy as highs climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s, but very muggy air will push heat indices into the upper 90s. Make sure you’re prepared for the summerlike heat and humidity!
Scattered storms may try to redevelop by late Saturday across portions of central and eastern Oklahoma continuing into Saturday night. If those storms develop, they could be severe with hail and wind threats.
Concerns for flash flooding and low-lying/flood-prone spots to have flooding issues will continue in areas that pick up more locally heavy rains. Storm chances will diminish early Sunday morning through most of Monday, but additional storms could return later next week.
Temperatures will get noticeably hotter this weekend, with summerlike heat index values pushing near 100 degrees Sunday and Monday thanks to very muggy air in place. Temperatures may cool off slightly by the middle of next week.
