WACO, Texas (KWTX) – The Apple Gal will hold a grand opening Friday, May 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its Waco location near the Magnolia Silos.
The shop is offering a buy three apples, get one free special for the grand opening. The first 50 guests will receive a free treat.
Morgan Francis, owner of The Apple Gal, said the response from Waco has exceeded expectations.
“It’s been fantastic with the locals, way better than we expected,” Francis said.

Francis said she is dedicating the opening to her grandfather, Frank Rucker, who recently died.
The Apple Gal specializes in gourmet caramel apples hand-dipped daily. The shop offers about 30 to 35 flavors ranging from salted caramel to German chocolate cake and Fruity Pebbles.
“Waco has been phenomenal. So, so good over the last couple of months and I am so excited to celebrate with you guys,” Francis said.
Francis spent 3 1/2 years making apples out of her house in Tyler before opening her first storefront location in Tyler. The Waco shop is her second location.
The Apple Gal is located on South 8th Street in Waco, across from the Magnolia Silos.
